What one kilogram costs, country by country
The same kilogram of Kagoshima Standard — our entry grade at $390/kg — delivered to each market. Freight is set by air zone, so neighbours share a figure; the local import charge is what separates them.

* Duty and local tax, settled by you on arrival. Planning estimates, not rulings — MATSU does not collect or remit them. Where it reads ask, we have not verified the current rate and will not publish a figure we cannot stand behind.
Not on the list?
We ship to about eighty countries. The pages above exist because those markets ask most often, not because the others are closed. Send the destination, the grade and the volume, and you get an exact total the same way — the calculation is the same one that charges the card.
Two honest exceptions. Uzbekistan and Qatar cannot be served by our standard postal route at the moment — Japan Post is not moving mail to them. We will still quote both, on a courier route, priced per shipment. We would rather give you a real number on a slower or dearer route than take an order we cannot deliver.
How the pricing works, everywhere
| Minimum | 1 kg per grade, in 100 g steps. Grades can be mixed |
|---|---|
| Volume | −10% from 5 kg, −15% from 10 kg, −20% from 25 kg. Above 10 kg we quote individually |
| Terms | The per-kg price covers the matcha; shipping is added and shown separately. Duty and tax are settled locally by the buyer |
| Carrier | Tracked air from Japan. Where a postal route is disrupted we quote a courier alternative |
| Payment | Card — Visa, Mastercard, Amex |
| Private label | Grade price × fill weight, plus $3.00 per unit for container, filling and label. Run size agreed per project |
| Samples | $99 Tasting Kit, three flagship grades at 30 g. Credited in full against a first order |
Frequently asked questions
Which countries does MATSU ship matcha to?
About eighty. The 17 above have published landed pricing; the rest are quoted on request using the same calculation. Uzbekistan and Qatar currently need a courier route rather than the standard postal one.
Is freight included in the per-kilogram price?
No. The per-kg price is the matcha; shipping is added on top and shown separately, so you can see what the tea costs and what the transport costs. The country pages show both, and the total.
Who pays import duty and tax?
The buyer, on arrival. It varies from nothing at all — the United Kingdom and Malaysia — to about 21% in Saudi Arabia. Each country page states the local figure.
What is the minimum order?
1 kg per grade, in 100 g steps, and grades can be mixed. No distributor account, no annual commitment.
